RMP2 Features and Specifications

RMP2 Ribbon Mic Preamp Features:
- Two transparent channels
- Optimized for Ribbon Mics - No transformers or capacitors in the signal path, and no phantom power
- Entirely balanced circuit from input to output
- Discrete front end, THAT 320 precision quad matched bipolar junction transistor arrays (each balanced circuit has 5 paralleled)

- Dual servo design to reduce DC offsets and common mode error
- Balanced signal path uses 0.1% precision metal film resistors and metal film resistors are used throughout
- WIMA film capacitors for servos, and COG ceramic for PS decoupling
- Elma type A4 24-position precision high-quality gain selector switches
- Two layer PCB with silk screen, solder mask and large low impedance ground plane
- External universal AC input power supply (90-264 VAC).
- Vinyl clad steel cover with aluminum base and end panels

- Compact size for portability or optional 1u rack mount adapter

- Maximum gain is 80 dB , minimum gain 24 dB
- Output impedance is 49.9 ohms x2
- Differential input impedance is 10k ohms fixed
- THD less than 0.005% at 60 db gain
- EIN: less than -129 dBu, 20kHz BW, 60 dB gain, Rs = 150 ohm
- Bandwidth is 1MHz -3dB at 40dB gain, 300kHz at 60dB
- Frequency response (20Hz to 20kHz) is < +/-0.1dB  at 60 dB gain
- Enclosure size: 5.5"W x 6.5"L x 1.7"H (optional hardware for 1U 19" rack mount)
